WHAT WE DO

HIV/AIDS in Africa:

Our mission is focused on helping to the global HIV/AIDS pandemic. HIV/AIDS treatment is an issue of life or death, so no one living with HIV/AIDS should be denied medicine because of color or where they live. Even as you read this, HIV/AIDS is taking lives in Sub-Saharan Africa in the absence of effective treatment, swallowing families, communities and hope. So far 17 million have died and at least 25 million may follow. Eight million adults in Africa, half of them women are HIV/AIDS infected, and by the time you finished reading this, at least one African child would have been orphaned by that continent’s exploding HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Fighting the African HIV/AIDS crisis has proved almost impossible for good number of reasons ----- national debt level strangling the continent’s economy, trade imbalance that caused African export to drop to it’s lowest level, and decreasing foreign aid, while rich nations are marching forward into 21 century and the fight against HIV/AIDS has become a political price children and adults who have HIV/AIDS have to pay.
